Claims Filing and Processing
Unfortunately, we cannot pre-certify/pre-authorize specific medical treatments or procedures. A claim must be submitted for review before it will be accepted or denied for payment. The best resource to determine what is eligible for payment under your ArmadaCare insurance plan is your Certificate of Insurance as it provides information related to your specific coverage.
At ArmadaCare, we pride ourselves on fast, accurate claim processing. Our typical turnaround time for processing a claim once we receive all necessary documentation is 5 to 7 business days. If any key information is missing, we will reach out to you to gather it, which will delay processing of payments. We can’t begin processing your claim until all the required information is received. To make sure you receive your payments as quickly as possible, be sure to sign up for direct deposit on your Member Portal or mobile app.
The best way to check the status of a claim is to log onto your Member Portal. By clicking on the Message Center tab, you can view notifications related to requests for more information and payment status. If the Message Center attachments are not visible, disable your pop-up blocker or add the Member Portal to the list of sites allowed to show pop-ups within your web browser. You can also check claim status via our mobile app, and you will receive emails alerting you to the status of a claim when it is processed.
There are several convenient ways to file a claim.
- Online: Visit your Member Portal to submit claims online for the fastest payment.
- Mobile: Download the app by searching for “ArmadaCare” in your mobile device’s app store. Take a picture of supporting documentation and submit for payment right from your mobile device.
- Paper Claims: Fill out a paper claim form which can be downloaded from your Member Portal. Send it along with supporting documentation via:

In general, the deadline for filing claims is 90 days after your ArmadaCare insurance plan year ends. So, if your plan ends on December 31, 2023, you would have until March 31, 2024 to submit any claims for the prior plan year (January 1-December 31, 2023). However, claim filing deadlines can vary by state so it is recommended that you check your Certificate of Insurance for your specific claim filing deadline. We send email reminders as your filing deadline approaches so be sure to stay opted into our emails.
